we get into the Tamara rumors, the dead bedroom discourse, why a cheating scandal is the best marketing a show can get (hi, Scandoval), Thing One and Thing Two, everyone turning into a sheep detective, Ethan's statement about stepping back, Trisha Paytas sounding off, and the $20,000 dump button that did not fucking work.

two outsiders, zero chill, no inside info. everything here is reported or rumored, and nobody involved has confirmed the fan theories. the full ep 5 is out now, go watch it.

And he's like, fuck, why did I spend $20,000? He looks like such a loser.

0:10 The H3 Podcast scandal, explained

Okay, so the biggest news blowing up the podcast world this week is the H3 Podcast, Ethan Klein, Hila Klein, Tamara, cheating scandal.

Yes. So I'd never heard of this podcast before. Then last week, it blew up all over my timeline. So apparently, the H3 Podcast is a really big podcast. Ethan Klein, the main guy, has been making YouTube videos for like 10 years, has a really big audience. I guess he started making comedy sketches and reaction videos and stuff like that, so, you know, he's a YouTube OG. And then the H3 Podcast was huge because of this, so they do live streaming and all of this stuff. But it came out that allegedly Ethan Klein cheated on his wife, Hila Klein, who was on the podcast as well, with this girl, Tamara, who is also on the podcast.

So Tamara is supposedly a super fan of the show. Then she ended up being hired on the show, and that was like sometime in 2025. But now there are allegations or rumors that Ethan knew her as far back as maybe 2023 and they were in contact.

So it's super interesting that I had no idea. I'd never heard of this podcast, but it has a huge audience. People are really invested in this drama. Like, people have grown up with this whole Ethan Klein and H3 verse. You know, some people started watching these people when they were nine or 10 years old, and now they're, you know, adults and their world is being rocked by this cheating scandal. People are posting on Reddit. They're fully in, you know, meltdown mode, being like, Ethan, how could you do this? My world is shattered. I don't believe in anything anymore.

1:54 Open secrets, dead bedrooms & pregnancy rumors

But the H3 Podcast is really interesting because there's like 15 people on it. Every time I see clips, it cuts to some other character. There's so many people on this podcast. And now there are rumors that perhaps it was an open secret on the show that Ethan was getting with Tamara. There's allegations that maybe it was a dead bedroom situation with him and Hila. There's allegations that Tamara may be pregnant, because Tamara has her own streams as well. So she's on the H3 Podcast, which is like way bigger than her, but then she has her own streams where she, like, sits in her room and talks to the camera. So people are clipping that too and matching up timelines. So apparently, supposedly she's gained some weight and they're saying, is she pregnant?

A rumor came out on Reddit that somebody claimed that two people on the show were pregnant. Somebody claimed that Tamara had actually been inappropriate with another host on the show that wasn't Ethan, another married host. So there's so much drama.

And the amazing part of this is, like, okay, it's a cheating scandal, but there's so much to work with. People can go back and clip all of the live streams, all the podcasts, and kind of put this together like a puzzle. And obviously I don't want to have too much levity about it, because people's lives are involved, but it is just so funny, because people outside of the whole Ethan Klein universe are now getting a chance to look at this pod because of the attention on it, because of the scandal. And they're like, is this podcast any good? Like, what's going on here? This is just, you know, lame, kind of boring chatter.

So it's kind of wild to see how big of an audience they have. But I guess if you have a decade to build a fan base and you bring people along with you, it's crazy how big things can get.

3:52 The podcast world's Scandoval

It's basically the podcast world Scandoval. And there is nothing like a cheating scandal that brings in new fans, because think about how many people started watching Vanderpump after Scandoval. Think about how many people started watching Summer House...

That's so true.

...after the West and Amanda situation. Actually, with the West and Amanda situation, so many people were talking about it, including guys that you might not even expect to be Bravo fans necessarily.

It's very true. Nothing like a cheating scandal to...

Exactly. To bring some heat on a franchise.

I mean, it has everything, because it has the marriage breaking up. Isn't it also like a workplace issue, considering he was the boss? And I'm assuming Hila was her boss as well.

Right. So not that it's exactly a Me Too situation, but it definitely brings in some complexities.

4:50 Halloween costumes & clip detectives

Oh yeah. And they dress up, they do different costumes for the podcast episodes and stuff like that. And one time Ethan dressed Hila and Tamara up as Thing One and Thing Two.

Going back to Scandoval, people were like, okay, ladies, pay attention to what your man dresses up as for Halloween, because if you remember, Tom Sandoval dressed as Raquel when he was still with Ariana.

Oh, right. And that was in the midst of everything. There's this desire to, like, telegraph.

Exactly. Desperate.

Yeah, there's desperate behavior. But people are clipping everything and going into the minutiae, like, oh, is this a moment between Hila and Tamara? Was this a moment between Tamara and Ethan? One time Tamara brought in Ethan's water bottle, or vice versa?

It's funny, because there's some that are probably legitimate. Like, there are probably some tells, but now you're going back and you're looking at it through a different lens. What's interesting about this, though, is comparing it to the Scandoval situation and West and Amanda. We watched those seasons differently, but also producers then likely went back and re-edited things. So with this one, where it's already out there and it's already kind of been edited a certain way, it's not like we're going to get a retelling of it, if you know what I mean.

Right, no, true. Unless somebody goes back and puts together a true documentary and sits everyone down and is like, you know, what happened exactly.

6:21 Everyone's a sheep detective now

I've also noticed that there's quite a few people who are arguing in the comments, because people are posting clips and they're saying, essentially, aha, this is when he got this text. And then other people are like, this clip was actually from a completely different time, this had nothing to do with this. And they're fighting back and forth. Now everyone's trying to be a sheep detective.

Totally, totally. Great Sheep Detective reference, gotta throw it in. I can't wait to watch Sheep Detective, actually. I've only seen the trailer, but I'm like, that's a movie I could get into.

Oh my gosh, they had Wolverine playing Sheep Detective. First of all, crazy. But that's up there with just taking edibles and watching whatever the new Trolls movie is.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

7:11 Ethan's statement: "a little bit suspicious"

But I'm interested to see what happens with this H3 situation, because there's obviously people's lives and relationships on the line. There's also a lot of money on the line, because these are big media properties. And, you know, Ethan put out a statement that he was going to do his best to transfer all of his ownership of everything over to everybody else, so that his actions wouldn't affect the rest of the pod. I find that almost a little bit suspicious. I don't know, again, I am on the outside of all of this, so the true fans, absolutely correct me. But I do find it a little bit suspicious that now all of a sudden he's like, no, I don't want to impact Hila and the crew, you guys keep doing it, I'm completely backing away. Unless what he did was so egregious, like if he is literally going to be having a child with her.

Yeah, but if he was a huge part in building it, I'm surprised there isn't more of... I mean, there likely are conversations happening behind the scenes. And even if he is going to be stepping away, who knows, maybe his PR crisis management was like, this is the only way you're going to get out of this. But I also read something about how initially he said it wasn't anything physical, it was just emotional. And then kind of more came out after the fact.

But honestly, such desperate behavior. Like, okay, so a super fan is paying attention to you and you're going to just be like, oh my God. And I mean, you mentioned the dead bedroom situation. I've been seeing that discourse online. People are saying, oh, they slept in different bedrooms. But quite frankly, that's not an excuse. If you wanted to leave the relationship, just leave the relationship. You don't have to get with Thing Two.

Right. You know?

8:57 Trisha Paytas, Frenemies & more family drama

Well, and then other characters are getting involved and sounding off too. So for example, there's a big crossover between the H3 Podcast and Ethan Klein and this influencer YouTuber named Trisha Paytas. I think that's how you pronounce her last name. Have you ever heard of her?

Yeah, of course.

Okay. So they have a big rivalry, or, you know, sort of a complicated relationship, let's say, because I think they had a podcast together called Frenemies or something like that. I'm gonna have to look up the specifics of that. I haven't gone quite deep enough in this world to know every detail at this point. But I saw a video by Trisha Paytas talking about the whole situation, and she has a new book out too, which is perfect timing to be talking about this.

And then Hila's brother was interviewed. Hila and her brother are estranged, and so he's talking about this on a clip and saying, you know, it's probably not gonna change anything. So he was in the IDF, but supposedly Ethan and Hila lied about what he did and what his involvement was, to maybe gin it up a bit more, because they're kind of pro-Israel, and so there's been controversy about that.

So there's just so many aspects to this situation. I had no idea that they even existed, and now suddenly there's this massive scandal, and all of a sudden I know every detail. Like, I know when their anniversary was, then I know when it was Tamara's, slash Tamara, whatever her name is, I know it was her birthday. And then, like, days later, this Hila character fled to Israel. And I was like, why is Israel coming into this? Anyways.

10:45 The $20,000 dump button

And it's also showing, because people are clipping other stuff too, some of the behind the scenes of the podcast production and the workplace, and some of the interactions between Ethan and some of the other employees or people that are on the podcast. Because Ethan supposedly bought this $20,000 button. It's like a broadcast button that's supposed to cut out the sound and video, and it just goes to, like, a technical difficulties type thing. But he used it on stream and was talking about some of the people on the podcast, and it didn't work. Like, they could still hear him. And he's like, fuck, why did I spend $20,000?

I just watched a clip and he was shirtless, and I was like, what are you doing? He looks like such a loser.

Anyways, great press for her. I mean, if this was news to her and her life is falling apart, godspeed. But it is great press.

11:33 Will the H3 ecosystem survive?

Right. And so will the podcast continue? Will it spin off into different podcasts?

Yeah, will the ecosystem continue?

We'll see.

Yeah, we'll see.
