Then he's like, I'm trying to get to 100,000 pieces of content a day. We do not want that.

0:10 The Gary Vee reel

Yeah, I was trying to show you a Gary Vee reel last night you were like protesting Look I'm all for Gary Vee but he's been saying the same thing No he actually updates what he says okay He always has one kind of stump speech that he's giving always like the the current thing like remember in 2018 he kept saying TikTok TikTok totally And I tried to tell you TikTok and you were like fuck I should have listened to you about TikTok in 2018 like Gary Vee does have his finger on the pulse.

You know, people, Gary Vee gets a lot of heat. But honestly, it's like, it's not just really good motivation porn. Him. Like he's always on the pulse of what's hot. Like right now he's talking about live selling. He's talking about what the reel I showed you was so funny because he's talking to somebody in the crowd and he's like, how many pieces of content you post today? And he's like, in the past, he's like, I don't give a fuck about the past how many you post today he's like well like one on TikTok every two every two days he's like

I post 900 pieces of content every day across 10 platforms with 100 handles but I love I love it because the number keeps going up and then he's like I'm trying to get to 100 000 pieces of content a day

1:20 "We do not want that."

We do not want that. We don't want that. I, again, like Gary Vee, I think he lost me like years prior when he was just like saying like good morning with the sunshine. And I was just like that is to me like a waste of content like maybe people are going to respond to that and be like good morning Gary and stuff like that I also think look I understand when he's doing those like live seminar type things and people are asking questions he's not actually going to like listen to what the

person's actually going through because he needs to make it relevant for the entire audience so like he's not going to be like oh give me your entire business plan and I'm just going to sit down and help you. Right. He Needs to make things that are like snappy, but he's also trying to make viral moments for himself. And I think that's what annoys me because that's why I feel he's saying the same thing because someone will ask him a question and then he'll say something kind of

like snappy back. And then he'll just repeat what he's already done, do not get me wrong. It's impressive. And again, I'm like cool with Gary, but like, he'll literally just go on and be like, oh, like I make 900 pieces of content today and I do this and you should've listened to me about TikTok and like, cool, great. But he no he doesn't he doesn't need a lot of context from the person asking the question because it'll be like somebody'll be like hey I'm like scared to post or

put my face on the camera he's like he'll be like don't be scared to post like Right. care what people think Yeah. is actually the answer Yeah. It's like that meme like uh you know how to make money and you open it to the first page and it's like work and then the person cries Totally. he does have the proper the real No, advice he's are like what saying, I do Get there he's like it. Post a fuck ton of content Yeah. that's the hard part it's hard to do No, that

Exactly. I just laugh that people are still going to his like conferences or whatever and saying the same thing. And they're being like, I don't know what to do. And I'm like, I know what Gary's going to tell you to do. So maybe like, don't ask that question.

3:17 Followers don't matter anymore

Message is updated like you know this year he's talking about interest-based media and how it's the first year really that followers don't matter it's all about any single piece of content any new account could blow up on the first post you could get more views on the first post you make on a new account that Gary gets on his existing content. True. He does and which is totally true and so he I think he is always on the pulse and I honestly I keep following Gary Vee anytime real comes up I'm watching it like

Well, am getting fan over the Day. Like, what else are you looking at if not that?

3:48 Is Mel Robbins just a marketer?

Also, you were watching a reel that was interesting about Mel Robbins, and they were basically saying Mel Robbins is just a marketer, it was a lot easier for Mel Robbins to be successful because of when she started doing it. And they were like, if Mel Robbins and Tony Robbins worked, like if their like premise and what they were selling worked, then we'd have a ton of Tony Robbins, which I don't necessarily agree with I don't. Think Mel Robbins and Tony Robbins have both been helpful and you're not necessarily

going to date with destiny to become a Tony. Motivational speaker, you know? Totally. No, Tony provides so much value to people outside of like, just, it doesn't have to be a train the trainer situation. yes like Mel Robbins is providing more value than just like, like people are getting value from that, you know, for their lives. oh my gosh Whole let let them theory, yeah Whatever, you know, Exactly

4:39 100 hours per podcast episode

I was watching a clip of Mel Robbins talking about her podcast and that they put, like 100 hours into every podcast episode. There's 50 hours that goes in before they even get to the chair. Whoa. Just in terms of prep, you know, booking their guests, doing all the research. They read the book. If there's a book or if there's studies, they read all of that.
