the traitors: new blood 🏰

The Traitors: New Blood is NBC's civilian version of The Traitors, the game where a few secret Traitors murder players at night while the Faithful try to banish them at the Round Table. it premiered on NBC on September 17, 2026, with new episodes Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET that stream the next day on Peacock, where it's listed as season 5 of the US show. the 12-episode season wraps with a two-hour finale on November 19, 2026.

no celebrities this time: the cast is 22 everyday Americans playing for a prize fund of up to $250,000. Alan Cumming is back as host, the game is still played at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, and James and Oliver Phelps (yes, Fred and George Weasley) drop in as guests, so a little celebrity sparkle snuck in anyway.

spoiler note: this page and the clips name the Traitors and who got murdered, through episode 6, which aired October 15, 2026. below are our New Blood clips: whether regular people in the castle is too performative, whether the Traitors have ever actually watched The Traitors, and the apple murder in plain sight that exactly one player called. each one has the full transcript, a short backstory and our take. the BBC's The Celebrity Traitors, the UK all-star version, has its own page. as always, it's commentary and opinion, not reporting.
