the take
the h3 situation is basically the podcast world's Scandoval, and nothing brings in new fans like a cheating scandal. think about how many people started watching Vanderpump after Scandoval, or Summer House after the West and Amanda situation, including guys you'd never expect to be bravo fans. it has everything.
this is the hosts' commentary and speculation for entertainment, not a statement of fact about anyone in it.
the backstory
Scandoval, in March 2023, was Tom Sandoval's affair with Vanderpump Rules co-star Raquel Leviss, which ended his nine-year relationship with Ariana Madix. it became one of the biggest stories in reality tv, and the show's ratings and buzz went way up afterward.
the hosts compare that to the H3 Podcast this fall, after Hila Klein said publicly that Ethan Klein had an affair. the Summer House mention is the hosts' shorthand for buzz around cast members West and Amanda, not a claim about what happened between them.
