the take
this one is 100% internet speculation, and we say so in the clip. the theory exists because of one trailer full of intense eye contact, and our verdict is less about the two of them and more about Nathan's salt-and-pepper lego hair. for the record, nothing suggests anything happened between them, and the movie they made together is a documentary, not a rom-com. but one of us has to admit Nathan looked kind of hot in that trailer, which was a first. the hair is good. it's just very helmet.
this is the hosts' commentary and speculation for entertainment, not a statement of fact about anyone in it.
the backstory
You Can See Everything is an A24 documentary directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim. A24's synopsis says it starts thirty-four days before Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes is sent to prison, when she invites a skeptical film crew to document her every move, and turns into a three-year project. Variety reports that it runs 174 minutes and premiered at the Telluride Film Festival. It opens in theaters on October 16, 2026.
After Telluride, A24 released a short teaser. Variety describes it as Fielder and Holmes staring intensely into each other's eyes while she insists she's being genuine. That teaser is where the online theory in this clip comes from. There's no evidence of anything romantic between them. It's internet speculation about a filmmaker and the subject of his documentary, and we say in the clip that we didn't fact-check it.
One fun overlap: Lance Oppenheim also directed Primetime, the Chris Hansen movie we talk about in another clip.
