the take
the internet's big traitors debate: are you rooting for the faithfuls or the traitors? rebecca didn't think about it until she read it online, then realized she's fully team traitor. we're in the turret with them, we know what they're thinking and all their schemes, so why would we want them banished?
this is the hosts' commentary and speculation for entertainment, not a statement of fact about anyone in it.
the backstory
The Traitors is a reality competition where a few secret Traitors murder players at night while the Faithful try to find and banish them at the Round Table. it started in the Netherlands as De Verraders on RTL 4 in 2021, and versions like the BBC's The Celebrity Traitors and NBC's The Traitors: New Blood are airing this fall.
viewers get to watch the Traitors plot in the turret, so the audience knows things the Faithful don't, which is a big part of why so many fans end up rooting for the Traitors.

- 0:08I actually do root for the Traitors. I didn't really actually think about it, but then when I read this online, I was like, wait, I actually do root for the Traitors.
- 0:15I think it's because we're in the turret with them. We know what they're thinking, we kind of know about their schemes, so I don't want them to be outed.
